Jennifer has worked in the wedding industry for over 12 years and is the Lead Event Designer at Sheer Elegance Weddings & Events Design. Her innate sense of style and creativity allows her to see beyond the immediate and to envision spaces irrespective of the look and feel of the venue subsequently transforming same into beautiful, stylish events. Her first real challenge came when she single-handedly planned her own wedding and with the help of professional vendors in the wedding industry was able to execute the wedding of her dreams.
A year later she was asked by a guest from her wedding to assist her with design ideas and planning for her own upcoming wedding. It was an exhilarating experience, one which she reveled in so much that she knew undoubtedly she had found her niche.
In 2003 Jennifer’s vision Sheer Elegance Weddings & Events Design came to fruition working mostly for family and close friends transforming and designing spaces and executing the overall look of the event. Gradually it transitioned to more serious work while she balanced both worlds that of the corporate during the week and on weekends indulged in her passion for decor and design. After 13 years in banking she had the opportunity in 2015 to embrace her passion on a full time basis. She has keenly studied the work of accomplished designers, attended seminars, gained certification while simultaneously staying on top of current trends.

Melissa started as an intern at Sheer Elegance Weddings in 2012. She is passionate about each wedding and has helped in just about every area of the business from doing inventory, delivering bridal bouquets which she loves to do, to the execution of the designs for the events. She has a relaxed and calm demeanour and has on several occasions offered keen insight in what others would deem as a dire situation.
She is adept at listening, planning, removing obstacles, and any unexpected difficulties effectively. She enjoys seeing the bride’s face and their pleasure when they see their venue for the first time. She considers her major accomplishment on the team as the day she was asked by one of the brides who recognised her efficiency during a consult to assist her in coordinating her wedding day. The bride’s feedback was ‘Jennifer this one is a keeper’. We at Sheer Elegance consider that to be one of many major accomplishments. She holds a degree in Project Management which has helped immensely in translating those skills set here at Sheer Elegance Weddings. Separate from her hands on approach at each event she keeps everything and everyone organised to avoid chaos.
Peta-Ann is the newest member of the Sheer Elegance Weddings team. She is bubbly, always has a smile on her face and is an enthusiastic worker and a quick study. She expressed an interest in joining the team and since doing so in the spring of 2017 has not disappointed in helping to execute with each event.
She is customer oriented and her role in customer service is second to none. She assists in all areas as needed and takes great pride in doing so as she sees the passion and our drive for every event. She studied Culinary Management at Humber College and currently works also in the hospitality industry. She understands extremely well the importance of customer satisfaction.
Special mention to the muscles behind the ladies, husband Leo, Jaime, Asante, and Donavan. All are committed to the team and ensure prompt and efficient service at each event.
